Dr. Giuseppe Valenzise is a CNRS researcher at Laboratoire des Signaux et Systèmes, at CentraleSupelec and Université Paris-Saclay, France, where he is the head of the Multimedia and Networking team. He is the Editor in Chief of the Springer EURASIP Journal on Image and Video Processing. Giuseppe obtained his PhD from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 2011. His research interests span different fields of image and video processing, including traditional and learning-based image and video compression, light fields and point cloud coding, image/video quality assessment, high dynamic range imaging and applications of machine learning to image and video analysis. He has co-author more than 100 research publications in these domains. He is the recipient of the EURASIP Early Career Award 2018. Giuseppe serves/has served as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, Elsevier Signal Processing: Image communication. He is the Chair of the MMSP technical committee of the IEEE Signal Processing Society and a member of the Multimedia Systems and Application technical committee of IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.

Giuseppe Valenzise博士現(xiàn)任法國巴黎薩克雷大學中央理工學院信號與系統(tǒng)實驗室（Laboratoire des Signaux et Systèmes）多媒體與網(wǎng)絡團隊負責人，同時是 Springer EURASIP《圖像與視頻處理》期刊主編。他于2011年在意大利米蘭理工大學獲得博士學位，研究興趣涵蓋圖像和視頻處理多個領域，包括傳統(tǒng)和基于學習的圖像和視頻壓縮、光場與點云編碼、圖像/視頻質量評估、高動態(tài)范圍成像，以及機器學習在圖像和視頻分析中的應用。他在這些領域發(fā)表了超過100篇學術論文，并于2018年獲得了EURASIP青年學者獎。此外，他曾擔任/正在擔任IEEE《視頻技術的電路與系統(tǒng)交易》、《圖像處理交易》、以及Elsevier《信號處理：圖像通信》期刊的副編輯。他是IEEE信號處理協(xié)會MMSP技術委員會主席以及IEEE電路與系統(tǒng)協(xié)會多媒體系統(tǒng)與應用技術委員會成員。
